n 1983, Alan Chapel founded a custom plastic injection molding business in an
abandoned building in Grand Haven, Michigan with only a few used machines and
the objective of manufacturing high quality products.
In 1989, this business outgrew the once abandoned building and was moved to its
current facility located at 1425 Aerial View Drive in Grand Haven.
Today, Grand Haven Plastics, Inc. is a ISO/TS 16949 2002 Certified / ISO 14001 Registered modern custom molder and finisher of quality
plastic parts for various industries that include automotive, consumer goods, construction,
health care and electronics.
GHP is a very clean, well lit 250,000 square foot manufacturing facility. Molding capabilities
range from 33 ton to 1500 ton plastic injection molding machines.
With more than double the employees it had a few years ago, GHP keeps three shifts efficiently running.
The decorating and finishing area offers state of the art robotic spray painting, infrared drying oven, pad printing,
roller and vertical hot stamping, sonic welding, heat staking, and assembly.
All these services are offered to meet the customer's high quality expectations.
With the employees and equipment capabilities, coupled with the most modern parts
conveying system, we provide our customers with the best possible molded and decorated parts.
